Description

  • Lead growth of Apex’s infrastructure services within a designated local market.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand relationships with municipal, utility, and public-sector clients.
  • Build Apex’s presence as a trusted regional partner using existing client relationships and market insight.
  • Collaborate with divisional and regional leadership to align local efforts with the broader infrastructure strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to municipal and utility clients on infrastructure priorities and funding mechanisms.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities, lead proposal development, and manage interview and negotiation processes.
  • Drive cross-selling of environmental, construction, and compliance services.
  • Represent Apex at professional associations, technical committees, and industry conferences.
  • Oversee delivery of municipal infrastructure projects in water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation, and civil engineering.
  • Ensure technical excellence, quality control, and adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and QA/QC oversight to project teams.
  • Manage project performance metrics including backlog, utilization, and profitability.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers, project managers, and technical staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on client satisfaction and technical excellence.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure.
  • Registered Professional Engineer preferred in MA, CT, or NH.
  • Demonstrated success developing new markets, securing key municipal clients, and achieving financial growth targets.
  • Strong record of mentoring, team development, and leading cross-discipline project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients in a forward-thinking manner to drive growth and sustained performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire to manage and mentor all levels of staff.
  • Experience with municipal, utility, or public-sector infrastructure work is expected.
  • Active book of business and strong municipal network are highly preferred.
