Description

  • Design and optimise onboarding flows to improve activation and first-use experience.
  • Define activation frameworks for each product or client and build systems to move users to activation.
  • Develop commitment screen and paywall strategy, including copy, structure, timing, and testing.
  • Shape monetisation strategy across pricing presentation, upsells, trials, and expansion revenue.
  • Lead retention and lifecycle efforts, including cohort analysis, churn identification, and win-back programmes.
  • Build and run a rigorous A/B testing practice with strong statistical discipline.
  • Conduct end-to-end client growth audits and deliver actionable funnel recommendations.
  • Work directly with the founder and client teams to develop and apply growth strategies.
  • Create growth frameworks that make Aperture’s approach more distinctive and defensible.

Requirements

  • Proven experience owning onboarding and activation for a consumer app, SaaS product, or subscription business.
  • Track record of materially improving activation rates or reducing time-to-value through structured experimentation.
  • Deep understanding of paywall and commitment screen mechanics, including how framing, timing, and context affect conversion.
  • Fluency in ARPU, ARPPU, LTV, payback period, and how these metrics relate to each other.
  • Experience running rigorous A/B testing programmes, including statistical significance, novelty effects, and test duration decisions.
  • Strong cohort analysis skills, including churn inflection analysis, activation-based segmentation, and funnel impact modelling.
  • Familiarity with behavioural psychology principles such as progress mechanics, social proof, loss aversion, and commitment consistency.
  • Client-facing communication skills with the ability to translate funnel analysis into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Comfort working across product, data, and marketing functions.
  • Experience with ecommerce conversion and post-purchase monetisation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, PostHog, or Braze is preferred.
  • Understanding of paid acquisition mechanics and how CAC decisions affect downstream LTV is preferred.
  • Experience building reusable growth frameworks is preferred.
