Description

  • Own end-to-end delivery of data across Market Research, Market Surveys, and Daylight Revenue.
  • Design and evolve data ingestion pipelines for 10M+ multifamily units.
  • Build workflows using XML/JSON feeds, web scraping, warehouse transformations, and API exposure.
  • Define dataset standards for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across product lines.
  • Collaborate with Product and Application Engineering to unlock features and customer insights.
  • Build observability into data systems, including monitoring, anomaly detection, and automated alerts.
  • Lead roadmap execution by setting goals, tracking progress in Linear, and communicating status to stakeholders.
  • Adopt emerging data and AI tools where they improve team efficiency and product value.
  • Maintain documentation and mentor others on data best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software or data engineering experience delivering pipelines that power customer-facing features.
  • Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and Python.
  • Deep understanding of large-scale data collection, including web scraping, parsing, proxy management, and structured feed ingestion.
  • Hands-on experience with batch data workflows using dbt, Airflow, or similar tools.
  • Deep expertise in AWS infrastructure, including RDS, ECS, S3, Lambda, and OpenSearch.
  • Familiarity with modern observability tools for performance tracking, error monitoring, and distributed tracing.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical details into clear product outcomes.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment with shifting priorities and high ownership.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.
  • Experience navigating cross-functional collaboration in a product-driven environment is preferred.
