Description

  • Define, establish, and lead the infrastructure integration engineering practice.
  • Own acquisition integration across infrastructure components from discovery and due diligence through migration execution and hypercare.
  • Conduct technical assessments of target companies’ infrastructure, systems, and operational capabilities.
  • Develop and present architectural strategies and integration roadmaps to executive leadership, founders, and technical teams.
  • Design and implement secure, scalable system architectures for integrated environments.
  • Develop and execute migration plans while managing technical dependencies and challenges.
  • Provide post-migration hypercare support to stabilize integrated systems.
  • Define, document, benchmark, and continuously improve repeatable integration processes through post-mortems and lessons learned.
  • Identify tooling gaps and either build tools or scope them for others to develop.
  • Collaborate with Security, Client Engineering, M&A, and business systems teams to ensure successful integrations.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of progressive experience in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, and/or IT Infrastructure roles in complex enterprise environments.
  • Ability to execute independently across program management, architecture, and hands-on engineering work.
  • Experience defining and building engineering practices and repeatable processes.
  • Experience operating across the full engineering lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through execution and hypercare.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to executives, founders, and engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of modern cloud architectures, including AWS, Azure, GCP, hybrid cloud, and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise networking technologies such as routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
  • Strong knowledge of server virtualization, containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, and Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with IAM, SSO, and MFA solutions.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure scripting and automation tools such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of security principles and common vulnerabilities in systems and networks.
  • Familiarity with client engineering principles and technologies.
  • Experience identifying tooling gaps and building or scoping solutions to address them.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to travel for remote deployments and assessments as required.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and principles, preferred.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies, preferred.
  • Experience with data center design and operations, preferred.
  • Experience in defense technology or highly regulated industries, preferred.
