Description

  • Define and drive the technical architecture for Manufacturing Production Solutions, including system design, scalability patterns, integration strategies, and build-versus-platform decisions.
  • Architect and implement distributed systems, services, APIs, and tooling that support work orders, scheduling, material tracking, and capacity planning.
  • Establish engineering excellence through hands-on practices such as comprehensive testing, safe deployments, infrastructure as code, observability, and operational rigor.
  • Collaborate with Platform/Foundations to shape shared infrastructure and drive adoption of platform capabilities.
  • Partner with other MES product teams to create cohesive manufacturing experiences and evolve data models across production, quality, and supply chain domains.
  • Represent manufacturing requirements in architecture, security, operations, and infrastructure decisions.
  • Raise the technical bar through rigorous code review, architecture discussions, and shared ownership practices.
  • Identify systemic technical issues, eliminate single points of failure, and improve automation and tooling to unblock execution.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering roles building products in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to influence technical direction across teams, build alignment, and lead technical initiatives beyond a single team.
  • Experience working with large enterprise applications and platforms with high availability requirements.
  • Strong full-stack experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern web frameworks such as Next.js or Remix.
  • Ability to translate manufacturing operations requirements into scalable technical architectures for enterprise production workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-team alignment.
  • U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled data.
  • Familiarity with AWS, TypeScript, and React/Remix is particularly helpful.
  • Experience in hyper-growth, startup-like environments, including scaling software processes and balancing short-term and long-term tradeoffs (preferred).
  • Manufacturing operations domain knowledge, such as MES, ERP, production scheduling, work order management, or supply chain platforms (preferred).
  • Experience in defense, autonomy, robotics, or mission-critical systems (preferred).
  • Experience with AI/LLM integration and agentic tooling in production software development (preferred).
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI clearance (preferred).
