Description

  • Own and maintain the software product roadmap for TRS systems, aligning customer needs, technical feasibility, and business priorities.
  • Define product vision and strategy based on military operational requirements, the competitive landscape, and emerging technology trends.
  • Make data-driven prioritization decisions across customer requests, technical debt, platform investments, and innovation initiatives.
  • Establish and track product KPIs for adoption, performance, customer satisfaction, and business impact.
  • Partner with Growth teams on customer engagement strategy, proposal development, and capture planning.
  • Serve as the primary product voice with customers and military stakeholders, including product demonstrations and requirement discovery.
  • Work with engineering teams to translate product vision into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate with TPMs and engineering leadership to align execution, trade-offs, and delivery timelines.
  • Lead product reviews, design reviews, and customer feedback sessions to maintain cross-functional alignment.
  • Implement product development and feedback processes that improve scalability, delivery velocity, quality, and user experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software product management, technical program management, or software engineering leadership.
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or complex hardware-software systems is preferred.
  • Strong technical foundation and ability to discuss architecture, algorithms, and implementation approaches with engineers.
  • Demonstrated experience defining product strategy, building roadmaps, and driving delivery in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.
  • Proven experience working directly with customers to gather requirements, validate solutions, and drive adoption.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and business development.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Outstanding communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Master's degree in a related technical field is preferred.
  • Military experience or experience in the military sales/defense contractor space is preferred.
  • Understanding of DoD acquisition processes, program of record lifecycles, and military customer organizations is preferred.
  • Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, drone technology, or embedded software systems is preferred.
  • Background in Agile/Scrum product development methodologies and modern software development practices is preferred.
  • Experience with ITAR compliance, cybersecurity frameworks such as RMF, and military standards such as MIL-STD-882E is preferred.
  • Prior experience in both product management and engineering roles is preferred.
  • Track record of successful product launches in highly regulated or safety-critical industries is preferred.
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools, roadmapping software, and requirements management systems is preferred.
