Description

  • Build and own software solutions deployed to customers, including code, tests, documentation, and operational health.
  • Develop Space C2 and mission management capabilities that support end-to-end mission systems.
  • Integrate new software capabilities with legacy defense systems and emerging space systems.
  • Write code to improve products and scale mission capability to more users and customers.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
  • Create and analyze metrics for debugging, monitoring, and system health.
  • Triage issues, identify root causes of failures, and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Partner with end users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
  • Own service or subsystem architecture, lead technical direction, and mentor team members when operating at a senior level.

Requirements

  • Active U.S. Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
  • Prior experience supporting DoD or IC customers.
  • Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and detailed requirements.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems with little oversight.
  • Clear communication and organizational skills, including documentation and training material development.
  • 5+ years of experience working with a variety of programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with Space C2 software systems and spacecraft operations.
  • Experience with Go, Rust, or C++ is preferred.
  • Experience with deployment tooling such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Helm is preferred.
  • Previous exposure to space ground hardware such as sensors, radars, or telescopes is preferred.
  • Previous exposure to space-related simulation and hardware integration is preferred.
  • Experience with existing space software standards and modular software services development is preferred.
