Description

  • Contribute to the direction of a small, talented research team with your expertise and ideas.
  • Create mathematically principled solutions to complex information science problems.
  • Prototype state-of-the-art algorithms in an agile development environment.
  • Implement high-performance software spanning tactical systems and web applications.
  • Use modeling and simulation environments, analysis tools, and compute clusters to evaluate the impact of technology.
  • Engage with customers to ensure successful outcomes for mission-critical needs.
  • Communicate technical work clearly to colleagues and customers, including the rationale behind your approach.

Requirements

  • Active U.S. Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
  • Prior experience supporting DoD or IC customers.
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Applied or Computational Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Controls and Dynamical Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Statistics and Probability, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record with demonstrated experience in applied mathematics, engineering, scientific computing, and probability areas.
  • Experience with differential equations, linear algebra, numerical analysis, and continuous or discrete optimization.
  • Experience with controls, estimation theory, digital signal processing, and machine learning.
  • Experience with software design, algorithm implementation, software analysis, testing, and optimization.
  • Experience with statistics and random processes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain advanced technology to both experts and non-experts.
  • Preferred experience in space, defense, or mission-critical systems is implied by the team context.
