Description

  • Generate, review, and edit user-focused technical documentation with Engineering and Operations.
  • Research Anduril products and scope technical data deliverables for DoD programs of record.
  • Write data modules in Mil-Std-40051-E XML using Raytheon Eagle, with eventual migration to Rapid Author.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and track documentation tasks to keep programs on schedule.
  • Identify risks to the documentation roadmap and help fill gaps as needed.
  • Communicate status, manage stakeholder expectations, and coordinate mitigations and resources.
  • Create processes and training so others can contribute to technical documentation.
  • Refine the product maturity framework so documentation supports productization of new systems.
  • Work with account teams to ensure contract deliverables are accurate, on time, and properly formatted.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across product development to produce manuals, guides, checklists, templates, troubleshooting content, and release notes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of demonstrated excellence generating XML-based technical documentation, preferably in a DoD environment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering documentation.
  • Experience building MIL-STD-40051 content, preferably using RTX Eagle.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, especially for technical subjects.
  • Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work with autonomy and responsibility.
  • Passion for excellent documentation and user experience.
  • Must be eligible for Secret and higher U.S. security clearance.
  • Military exposure or experience with military technical documentation standards such as S1000D and MIL-STD-40051 (preferred).
  • Previous experience creating technical documentation for DoD products (preferred).
  • Experience with Siemens Rapid Author (preferred).
  • Experience documenting software UIs in an Agile environment (preferred).
