Description

  • Research and write reports and content that summarize CalMTA’s work, initiatives, and outcomes.
  • Provide technical copy editing, fact-checking, and source verification for reports and studies developed by partners and contractors.
  • Synthesize technical information into concise narratives that communicate market transformation progress in California.
  • Concept and create data-driven visuals to support information sharing.
  • Develop presentation materials that communicate key messages and outcomes.
  • Support document production and ensure adherence to CalMTA brand standards and messaging.
  • Participate in planning and execution of outreach activities that promote CalMTA’s work and progress.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to finalize market characterization and other studies.
  • Work as a cooperative member of cross-functional project teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be located in California; remote candidates will be considered, with a strong preference for California residents.
  • B.S. or B.A. preferred.
  • 5+ years of work experience in energy efficiency and related subject matter knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience writing and editing technical documents and marketing documents.
  • Comfort working with technical material for editing, fact-checking, and citing work.
  • Experience with data visualization and creating technical content for graphical representation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint formatting styles.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest or experience in energy or sustainability, with a high degree of intercultural sensitivity and inclusiveness.

  • Competitive base salary of $85,000-$115,000.
