Description

  • Own deployed technology solutions with a focus on delivering value to end users.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in areas such as hardware selection and integration, testing and evaluation, robotic perception, engineering process, or cybersecurity.
  • Work with end users and other stakeholders to balance user needs with external constraints, restrictions, and requirements.
  • Design, architect, and implement integrated systems and advanced platforms and payloads.
  • Contribute to reusable technology components across multiple Anduril product lines.
  • Develop and execute processes for initial delivery and iteration of complex robotic systems, including lifecycle testing, monitoring, and operation.
  • Support vehicle and payload manufacturing, testing, and deployment.
  • Travel to co-locate with end users up to 20% of the time.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team and mentor engineers from different backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive professional experience working as an engineer in one or more domains or technologies of expertise.
  • Strong ownership of complex systems, including design, integration, testing, and delivery of new capabilities.
  • Ability to work holistically across the design, implementation, operation, and sustainment of complex robotic systems.
  • Ability to serve as the technical owner for a complex subsystem, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, team coordination, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
  • Ability to learn and grow individually while mentoring junior team members and building team cohesion.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
  • Experience with the design, implementation, and support of robotic and/or autonomous systems, preferred.
  • Experience working in the defense, maritime, and/or aerospace domains, preferred.
  • Experience across the product delivery lifecycle, including manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment, preferred.
  • Interest in growing into senior leadership roles such as Principal Systems Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Tech-Lead-Manager, preferred.
