Description

  • Drive supplier quality development through design reviews, supplier process development, testing, and qualification of components and sub-assemblies.
  • Partner with engineering to design, develop, qualify, and implement supplier functional tests and performance validation processes for critical components.
  • Collaborate with development engineering, product quality, sourcing, and program management to support predictable supply and manage supplier exceptions, containments, and deviations.
  • Analyze key and critical drawing characteristics and supplier specifications to support measurement systems and supplier qualification activities such as PPAP, FAIR, audits, and inspection development.
  • Partner with sourcing teams to improve supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and fulfillment of strategic goals.
  • Own efforts to reduce supplier risk and improve product quality and reliability through audits, readiness reviews, training, and documentation.
  • Support RCCA and MRB activities, own containments for purchased goods, and drive resolution of fitment issues.
  • Lead supplier corrective action and response (SCAR) processes and share lessons learned across product teams.
  • Audit supplier quality management systems and ensure compliance with customer flow-down requirements.
  • Prepare for, support, and lead onsite supplier audits and reviews for quality management and contract deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar technical field.
  • 3-5 years of supplier quality engineering, onsite quality engineering, or manufacturing engineering experience in a highly regulated production environment.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, micro-electronics, or mechanical assembly manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 quality management system requirements and auditing.
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma.
  • Experience performing First Article Inspection to the AS9102 standard.
  • Experience driving supplier performance and evaluation, including SOWs, quality clauses, IP, and government regulations such as ITAR.
  • Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, QCP, SPC, and MSA.
  • Experience with quality improvement and failure analysis methods such as 5 Whys, 8D, Fishbone, and Shainin Red X.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive projects from start to finish.
  • Analytical experience with data mining, data quality, metrics, issue management systems, and statistical tools such as MatLab, JMP, or MiniTab.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time to suppliers, sourcing partners, and manufacturing locations.
  • Preferred: Active or former IPC 610 or IPC 620 certification.
  • Preferred: Experience with RF applications, camera and sensors, HVAC and thermal controls, motors, and servos.
  • Preferred: Certifications such as CQE, CSSBB, CQA, or CQM.
  • Preferred: Experience with government contracts and MIL standard requirements.
  • Preferred: Experience with Teamcenter, SolidWorks, Oracle/Netsuite, Jira, Tableau, and Palantir Foundry.
