Description

  • Design and implement trusted, safety-critical Vehicle Management Systems that balance constraints and stakeholder requirements.
  • Design and implement scalable vehicle subsystems including sensor processing, state estimation, contingency management, actuation, payload and mission interfaces.
  • Develop real-time embedded software on an RTOS, including device drivers and interfaces to a variety of sensors and actuators.
  • Create test and simulation fixtures for software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop validation and verification.
  • Contribute to and develop reusable software components across product lines to support multiple Anduril systems.
  • Act as technical owner for major software subsystems, including requirements definition, roadmap management, design, implementation, sustainment and evolution.
  • Support vehicle manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment activities for fielded systems.
  • Work as a multidisciplinary team member and mentor junior software engineers; travel to co-locate with end-users or teams up to 20% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in writing C and experienced in systems programming (algorithms, data structures, concurrency, optimization).
  • Experience developing real-time embedded software using an RTOS.
  • Familiarity with communications buses and protocols (e.g., CAN, CANFD, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, QSPI, I2C, Ethernet, ARINC-825, ARINC-429, MIL-STD-1553).
  • Ability to act as technical owner for a software component including stakeholder engagement and cross-team coordination.
  • Capacity to mentor junior team members and contribute to team cohesion and growth.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred: experience designing and developing embedded applications for autonomous vehicle software systems and developing interfaces to sensors and actuators.
  • Preferred: experience with high-assurance/safety-critical software (DO-178, IEC 61508, or similar), troubleshooting remotely deployed systems, and working with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Preferred: familiarity with navigation and communications systems, systems engineering concepts, and full product delivery lifecycle (manufacturing, acceptance, deployment, sustainment); interest in growing into staff, tech-lead, or manager roles.
