Description

  • Design and implement trusted, safety-critical Vehicle Management Systems that balance constraints and stakeholder requirements.
  • Design and implement scalable vehicle subsystems including sensor processing, state estimation, contingency management, actuation, payload interfaces, and mission systems interfaces.
  • Develop real-time embedded software on an RTOS, including device drivers and interfaces to a variety of sensors and actuators.
  • Create test and simulation fixtures for software- and hardware-in-the-loop validation and verification.
  • Contribute to and evolve reusable software components across product lines to support multiple Anduril systems.
  • Act as technical owner for major software components, covering requirements definition, roadmap management, design, implementation, sustainment, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support vehicle manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment activities.
  • Mentor and collaborate within multi-disciplinary engineering teams and provide guidance to junior software engineers.
  • Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users or other teams as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven proficiency writing C and experience developing real-time embedded software on an RTOS.
  • Familiarity with communications buses and protocols such as CAN/CANFD, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, QSPI, I2C, Ethernet, ARINC-825, ARINC-429, and MIL-STD-1553.
  • Strong systems programming skills including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and performance optimization.
  • Demonstrated capacity to act as technical owner for software components, including stakeholder engagement, roadmap management, and cross-team coordination.
  • Ability to learn and grow while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team cohesion.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred: experience designing and developing embedded applications for autonomous vehicle systems and high-assurance safety-critical software.
  • Preferred: experience with sensor and actuator interfaces, troubleshooting remotely deployed systems, electrical/mechanical system testing, and familiarity with DO-178, IEC 61508, navigation and communications systems, and Systems Engineering concepts.
