Description

Own the end-to-end user experience for platform, internal R&D, or vertical product initiatives.
Collaborate closely with engineering and product management through discovery, ideation, prototyping, and delivery.
Define experience requirements, craft workflows, and produce high-fidelity designs for high-impact product experiences.
Engage end users and facilitate collaborative workshops with stakeholders to align on user needs and concepts.
Use journey maps, user workflows, mockups, and documentation to communicate design rationale clearly.
Mentor design peers, contribute to design critiques, and share knowledge across the team.
Partner with the design systems team to evolve the underlying platform.
Balance near-term experiments with long-term product strategy and vision.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in product design, UX, or HCI.
Deep expertise in visual design and interaction design for complex workflows.
Strong systems thinking and the ability to map workflows across multiple user types and operational contexts.
Strong prototyping skills to support decision-making.
Ability to explain design decisions and navigate complex stakeholder requirements across engineering, product, and business teams.
A portfolio that demonstrates strong craft and attention to interaction detail.
Experience leading user research sessions, including customer discovery, usability testing, and synthesis (preferred).
Facilitation skills for workshops, cross-functional alignment, and strategic decision-making (preferred).
Comfort working in ambiguity and in mission-critical, time-sensitive environments (preferred).
Familiarity with constrained or safety-critical environments such as industrial, aerospace, or defense systems (preferred).
Experience scaling design operations, mentorship, and team efficiency (preferred).
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance (preferred).
No prior defense experience is required.

US salary range of $154,000 to $231,000.
