Description

  • Lead a small technical team through model and analysis development and execution cycles.
  • Develop model-driven analyses and build the underlying models when needed.
  • Perform operational and mission effectiveness analyses of existing and emerging systems in representative environments.
  • Run trade studies using simulation and recommend alternative architectures.
  • Produce rigorous analytical products that guide DoD decision-making.
  • Design mission trajectories and develop simulations to solve key mission needs.
  • Model architectures, develop and deploy algorithms, and evaluate system performance.
  • Help shape future system concepts for government customers in the Space domain.

Requirements

  • Currently holds and can maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
  • Experience with space mission modeling, simulation, and analysis, including constellation design, space trajectory design, and physics-level modeling.
  • Experience with spacecraft and payload analysis, including propulsion, power, thermal management, and payloads such as RADAR, SATCOM, and/or EOIR.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to visually present complex data.
  • Proficiency with physics-math scripting languages such as Matlab (preferred) or Python.
  • Strong engineering background, preferably in Astrodynamics, Aerospace Engineering, Dynamics and Controls Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience briefing technical data to leadership and U.S. Government stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant science/engineering experience (preferred).
  • Experience with version control tools such as GitHub or GitLab (preferred).
  • Experience conducting software-based trade studies (preferred).
  • Proficiency with STK and advanced modules such as Astrogator (preferred).
  • Experience working in SAP security environments (preferred).
  • Experience with genetic algorithms, machine learning, AI, and reinforcement learning algorithms (preferred).
