Description

  • Lead and mentor a team of quality inspectors across multiple product lines.
  • Train team members on work instructions, procedures, inspection techniques, and maintain training records.
  • Develop, maintain, and consistently apply quality control standards.
  • Author and update SOPs for inspection and quality control processes.
  • Guide inspectors through ambiguities in inspection methods, sequencing, and execution planning.
  • Collect and statistically analyze quality data to inform decisions and identify improvements.
  • Manage resources for incoming, in-process, end-of-line, containment, and ad-hoc inspection operations.
  • Monitor processes continuously to find opportunities for efficiency and process enhancement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and departments to support timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.
  • Partner with Quality Engineering on quality roadmap initiatives and support internal audits and compliance reviews.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive quality and/or regulatory experience in Aerospace, Defense, or Automotive industries.
  • 3+ years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and AS9100 requirements.
  • Prior exposure to manufacturing electronic components for aerospace applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Quality Improvement and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities in a production environment.
  • U.S. Person status is required to access controlled data.
  • Technical degree in a related quality, mechanical, or aerospace engineering field (preferred).
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, or equivalent certification; IPC-A-610 or IPC-A-620 certification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, TQM, TPS, Lean, and Low Rate Production methodologies (preferred).
  • Experience with inspection of electrical and electronic components such as power supplies, PCBs, and wire harnesses (preferred).
  • Experience with data systems, QMS software, automated data collection tools, reporting, data visualization, and data queries (preferred).
  • Experience drafting and revising SOPs and quality troubleshooting guides (preferred).
  • Experience with manufacturing systems such as Jira, MES, ERP, Teamcenter, and CAD (preferred).
  • Experience with auditing processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Experience with validation and testing of sub-assemblies and components (preferred).
  • Experience selecting, buying, qualifying, and implementing inspection equipment (preferred).
  • Experience working with suppliers and Sourcing or Supplier Quality Engineering teams (preferred).
  • Detail-oriented self-starter able to work with minimal oversight and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams (preferred).
  • Proficiency with CAD software and inspection data management software (preferred).
  • 20% travel to other Anduril sites out of state, with headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work in clean room environments.
  • Ability to use precision optical tools and equipment.
  • Visual acuity and color discrimination required for inspection work.
  • Adherence to laser safety and contamination control protocols.
