Description

  • Learn and execute mechanical and electronic assembly processes to manufacture products in a timely manner.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to fabricate machined and composite components.
  • Perform inventory checks and report accurate data to management.
  • Run required system tests and document quality assurance results accurately.
  • Complete light composite fabrication tasks, including hole repair, ply cutting, patchwork, and wet lay-up work.
  • Support fabrication of small parts and electro-mechanical assembly as needed.
  • Maintain safe work practices and follow required safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting; aerospace, electronics, or medical industry experience is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and email.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to be a team player and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs and remain on your feet throughout the day.
  • Ability to multitask with little supervision.
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wrenches.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience reading technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Experience using small power tools such as drills, Dremels, and sanders.
  • Machine shop or machining experience with tools such as mills, lathes, or CNC routers is preferred.
  • Technical or associate degree in a related technical field is preferred.
  • Experience with SAE certified QMS or in an AS 9100 / ISO 9001 certified facility is preferred.
  • RC hobbyist or enthusiast background is strongly considered.
  • Light electronics troubleshooting or soldering experience is a plus.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience or training is a plus.
  • The role requires four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Thursday, from 3:30pm to 2:00am.
