Description

  • Work with system, design, and manufacturing engineers to generate, populate, and submit configuration item change requests.
  • Prepare analyses to support change requests while maintaining configuration integrity and traceability.
  • Support execution and implementation of change notices across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain domains.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities by building data-driven views of the product configuration landscape.
  • Support configuration managers in running technical forums such as Test Review Board and Change Control Board meetings.
  • Prepare business cases, test data, effectivity plans, and inventory disposition plans for technical forums.
  • Document and distribute conclusions and decisions from configuration management forums.
  • Support configuration management reviews and audits, including FCA/PCA, and help resolve issues before, during, and after events.
  • Reconcile released bills of materials against baseline bills of materials and product as-built records against released bills of materials.
  • Use Teamcenter to manage engineering changes, including part revisions, BOM updates, documentation modifications, and related workflows.
  • Provide guidance to engineering teams on configuring EBOM, MBOM, and SBOM structures.
  • Define and maintain configurable product data sets such as 150% BOMs, product variant dictionaries, and schemas.
  • Train product team users as a Teamcenter super-user.
  • Partner with engineering teams to define requirements and improve workflows through tools or process enhancements.
  • Build an end-to-end digital thread from requirements definition to as-maintained product records.
  • Identify and pilot opportunities to use AI tools to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency in configuration management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of configuration analysis or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in high-complexity, high-rate production environments such as aerospace, automotive, security systems, medical devices, or nuclear.
  • Familiarity with configuration management principles and practices, including EIA649/C and MIL-HDBK-61B.
  • Experience with PLM and/or data management tools for configuration management of complex products.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex quantitative data into clear decision statements.
  • BA/BS degree.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain professional relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Proven experience in the aerospace industry, preferred.
  • Proficiency in technical writing of processes and procedures, preferred.
  • Experience with Teamcenter, Teamcenter Requirements, Teamcenter Quality, Confluence, and JIRA, preferred.
  • CM2 or equivalent configuration management certification, preferred.
