Description

  • Define, establish, and lead the infrastructure integration engineering practice for new acquisitions and technologies.
  • Own the full infrastructure integration lifecycle from discovery and due diligence through migration execution and hypercare.
  • Perform technical assessments of target companies’ infrastructure, systems, and operational capabilities.
  • Develop and present architectural strategies and integration roadmaps to executives, founders, and technical teams.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure system architectures for integrated environments.
  • Create and execute detailed migration plans, managing technical dependencies and execution risks.
  • Provide post-migration hypercare support to stabilize integrated systems.
  • Define, document, benchmark, and continuously improve repeatable integration processes.
  • Identify tooling gaps and build or scope tools to improve discovery, migration, and testing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Security and Client Engineering teams to meet security requirements and integrate client-facing technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance, challenge misaligned proposals, and serve as a mentor and trusted advisor to engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, and/or IT Infrastructure roles in complex enterprise environments.
  • Ability to work independently across program management, architecture, and hands-on engineering responsibilities.
  • Experience defining and building engineering practices and repeatable processes.
  • Experience spanning the full engineering lifecycle from discovery and architecture through execution and hypercare.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to executives, founders, and engineering teams.
  • Deep knowledge of modern cloud architectures, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, plus hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise networking technologies such as routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
  • Strong knowledge of server virtualization, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and Windows.
  • Experience with IAM, SSO, and MFA solutions.
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation tools such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of security principles and common system and network vulnerabilities.
  • Familiarity with client engineering principles and technologies.
  • Experience identifying tooling gaps and either developing solutions or scoping them for others to build.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to travel for remote deployments and assessments as required.
  • Preferred: experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and principles.
  • Preferred: familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Preferred: experience with data center design and operations.
  • Preferred: experience in defense technology or highly regulated industries.
