Description

  • Develop model-driven analyses and build the underlying models where needed.
  • Design mission trajectories and develop simulations to solve mission needs.
  • Perform operational and mission effectiveness analysis of existing and emerging systems in representative environments.
  • Conduct trade studies through simulation and recommend alternative architectures.
  • Produce rigorous analytical products to support DoD decision making.
  • Model architectures, develop and deploy algorithms, and evaluate performance for space mission concepts.
  • Help shape future system concepts for U.S. Department of Defense customers.

Requirements

  • Active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance that can be maintained.
  • Space mission modeling, simulation, and analysis experience, including constellation design, space trajectory design, and physics-level modeling.
  • Spacecraft and payload MS&A experience with physics-based trade-space analysis for propulsion, power, thermal management, and payloads such as RADAR, SATCOM, and/or EOIR.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including visual presentation of complex data.
  • Proficiency with physics-math scripting such as Matlab (preferred) or Python.
  • Strong engineering background, preferably in Astrodynamics, Aerospace Engineering, Dynamics and Controls Engineering, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5+ years in a relevant science or engineering field (preferred).
  • Experience with version control tools such as GitHub or GitLab (preferred).
  • Experience conducting software-based trade studies (preferred).
  • Proficiency with STK and advanced modules such as Astrogator (preferred).
  • Experience working in SAP security environments (preferred).
  • Experience with genetic algorithms, machine learning, AI, or reinforcement learning algorithms (preferred).
