Description

  • Leverage Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) expertise to improve product reliability, longevity, manufacturability, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Own part or all of the manufacturing value chain for high-complexity products.
  • Design and implement efficient manufacturing processes and production workflows.
  • Lead projects to install new manufacturing systems and communicate progress and changes to stakeholders.
  • Develop process flows that break complex assemblies into logical subassemblies and sub-processes.
  • Write manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements.
  • Work with contract manufacturers across PCBA, metallic manufacturing, and assembly to build repeatable processes for development and production.
  • Travel to suppliers for sourcing, production issue resolution, and quality procedure implementation.
  • Contribute to mechanical or electrical design decisions, including interconnects, board fabrication, and inspection.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Design Engineering, Technicians, and Program Managers on quality standards, DFM, troubleshooting, and milestones.

Requirements

  • Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or electromechanical hardware design.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver electromechanical hardware creatively in a resource-constrained environment.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating large or high-complexity assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with configuration management and change control processes, including CCB, E&O, and effectivity dates.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
  • Demonstrated success scaling product testing and production from tens/hundreds to hundreds/thousands, preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with software and firmware flashing or end-of-line testing and troubleshooting, preferred.
  • Ability to develop, execute, and manage high-fidelity automated test procedures at component and system levels, preferred.
  • Experience with large-scale high-mix manufacturing at different product maturity stages, preferred.
  • Experience with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), or Oracle (ERP), or equivalents, preferred.
  • Familiarity with test ecosystems that de-risk hardware and meet target reliability levels, preferred.
  • Experience with large bills of materials and ownership of multiple products/configurations, preferred.
