Description

  • Lead a team of engineers and analysts focused on cyber threat intelligence, adversary tracking, and vulnerability research.
  • Set the strategy and roadmap for the Threat & Attack Research team.
  • Translate intelligence needs from internal security partners into prioritized deliverables.
  • Partner with detection and response teams to operationalize intelligence into detections, hunts, and response playbooks.
  • Work cross-functionally on red team engagements, product threat modeling, and vulnerability disclosure matters.
  • Provide regular briefings to senior leadership, program stakeholders, and government partners.
  • Build and maintain analytic tradecraft, intelligence production standards, and internal tooling.
  • Lead complex investigations into targeted threat activity, supply chain compromise, and infrastructure-based campaigns.
  • Cultivate external relationships across the intelligence community, ISACs, and defense-industrial-base peers.
  • Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of analysts and research engineers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cyber threat intelligence, threat research, vulnerability research, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams and managing complex security programs.
  • Experience analyzing sophisticated threat actor campaigns, including nation-state, supply chain, and infrastructure-based activity.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles across endpoint, application, network, and cloud environments.
  • Programming ability in one or more general-purpose languages such as Python, Go, or Rust.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief technical and executive audiences.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • In-depth knowledge of nation-state, sophisticated criminal, or supply chain threat actors targeting the defense industrial base is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability research, reverse engineering, or exploit development is preferred.
  • Experience building or managing intelligence platforms and tooling, including YARA and Snort signatures and large-scale data analysis is preferred.
  • Track record of shipping production code for threat intelligence or security automation tooling is preferred.
  • Experience with Vertex Synapse or comparable threat intelligence platforms is preferred.
  • Established relationships within the broader security and threat intelligence community are preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting or interfacing with offensive security, red team, or product security functions is preferred.
