Description

  • Define and influence the direction of a small team within the Command and Control Software organization.
  • Prototype and deploy algorithms for global and local path planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-agent coordination.
  • Develop high-performance software for real-time command and control systems, including mission planning tools and autonomous routing services.
  • Design and implement planners, search algorithms, and decision-making systems for safe and optimal routing in dynamic environments.
  • Analyze system performance using simulations, modeling tools, and statistical techniques to validate planner behavior.
  • Customize algorithms and software for mission-critical use cases such as collaborative autonomy, asset routing, and threat avoidance.
  • Integrate path planning technologies into the broader command and control software stack from requirements through testing and optimization.
  • Translate technical progress into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders, operators, and end-users.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in algorithm design, software development, and mathematical modeling.
  • Programming experience in C/C++, Python, and Matlab.
  • Strong knowledge of path planning techniques including A*, D* Lite, RRT, RRT*, PRM, lattice-based planners, or grid-based planners.
  • Experience in guidance, navigation, and control, trajectory optimization, or predictive modeling for vehicle dynamics and weapon system effectiveness.
  • Strong understanding of applied mathematics, including linear algebra, optimization, computational geometry, and graph theory.
  • Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, kinematic constraints, and control theory for autonomous ground, air, or maritime platforms.
  • Familiarity with map representations, terrain reasoning, and large-scale geospatial and environmental data in distributed C2 architectures.
  • Background in machine learning for planning and decision-making, including reinforcement learning, learned heuristics, or behavior prediction.
  • Ability to engineer robust systems for planning under uncertainty and multi-agent coordination in complex, contested environments.
  • Experience working across the development lifecycle from prototyping to optimizing production systems.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • Transcripts are requested early in the application process; unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
