Description

  • Own the long-range financial plan and rolling forecasts for a portfolio spanning 7+ programs across development, production, and sustainment.
  • Drive cash flow forecasting and working capital management efforts.
  • Develop complex financial models to evaluate scenarios and support strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans with cross-functional partners.
  • Lead executive-level reporting and present financial insights to senior management.
  • Improve financial reporting tools, systems, cadences, and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Build and manage IRAD portfolio financial management in partnership with program managers.
  • Create budgeting plans for individual IRAD programs and manage overall IRAD budgets for the business line.
  • Lead headcount forecasting and reporting, including staffing needs, hiring plans, and workforce costs.
  • Lead the monthly close process, reconcile actuals to forecast, explain variances, and address root causes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA/CFA is a plus.
  • 4–6 years of experience in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting in corporate FP&A, investment banking, or consulting.
  • Strong financial modeling ability, including building forecasts from a blank sheet in Excel.
  • Strong expertise in cash flow management and working capital optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives in a finance function.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for explaining complex financial information clearly.
  • Proven track record managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems such as Oracle or Foundry.
  • Aerospace and defense industry experience is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
