Description

  • Develop approaches to achieve test and evaluation goals and complete test activities under minimal supervision.
  • Plan and execute system-level hardware and software testing, including ground and flight testing.
  • Lead test execution at private and government-owned test ranges.
  • Prepare technical test plans and support process improvement and development.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, program leadership, supporting companies, and government partners to review results.
  • Collect test data and perform initial analysis for systems under test.
  • Document observations and produce customer-facing test deliverables such as test plans, flight readiness reviews, data analyses, and test reports.
  • Work safely in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 4-10+ years of test engineering experience.
  • Current Top Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time to support test requirements.
  • Experience producing customer-facing test deliverables, including test plans, flight readiness reviews, data analysis, and test reports.
  • Experience as a test conductor, test director, or in similar range-event leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory with broad application across technical specialties.
  • General knowledge of test execution safety and risk management.
  • Ability to understand new concepts quickly and solve problems across multiple engineering areas.
  • Working knowledge of the National Airspace System and UAS operating rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced environment with little to no oversight.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense or the Intelligence Community (preferred).
  • Experience working with First Person View (FPV) drones (preferred).
  • Prior unmanned drone or small UAS experience (preferred).
  • Professional experience using data analysis tools or programming languages such as Python or MATLAB (preferred).
  • Experience with Linux operating systems (preferred).
