Description

  • Support the development, test, and integration of avionics Flight Termination System components for Terran R.
  • Work with cross-functional partner teams to define requirements for flight hardware.
  • Develop acceptance and qualification test plans and procedures.
  • Support test execution in a lab or other test environment.
  • Prepare flight components for integration into the launch vehicle.
  • Execute, document, and communicate hardware testing results in a collaborative, safety-critical environment.
  • Work with CAD models and electrical schematics to support hardware development and testing.
  • Coordinate with third-party reviewers, external contractors, vendors, and off-site testing activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in high-reliability product development and/or testing.
  • Experience in a lab or test environment, including test design, execution, and documentation of results.
  • Understanding of failure analysis processes and root-cause investigations.
  • Experience working in safety-critical or regulated environments with oversight from multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to coordinate with third-party reviewers, external contractors, or vendors and travel for off-site testing as needed.
  • Familiarity with handling and testing hazardous materials is preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with aerospace regulatory and safety organizations, including Space Force Range Safety and FAA, is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with test instrumentation, data acquisition systems, test automation, and data analysis is preferred.
  • Experience working with complex integrated systems, such as vehicle-level integration or testing, is preferred.
