Description

  • Conduct trade studies for communications, sensing, and effector systems to support mission outcomes.
  • Architect multi-function, multi-mode payload and system solution concepts, including requirements, layout, interfaces, and employment.
  • Adapt or derive physics-based models of payload system performance with subject matter experts.
  • Develop or adapt validated effects-based models for mission-level modeling and simulation tools.
  • Validate system performance in collaboration with test and integration engineers.
  • Work with AD&S teams to integrate and deliver high-performance systems to customers.
  • Manage subcontractors and/or internal development teams to define subsystem requirements and drive technical performance on schedule.
  • Communicate technical results internally and externally in multiple formats.

Requirements

  • Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance that can be maintained.
  • Domain expertise in communications, sensors, and effectors in one or more of Radar, EO/IR, RF, and EW systems.
  • Experience with physics-based modeling and analysis of system performance using tools of choice.
  • 5+ years of experience in payload integration and validation.
  • 10+ years of experience in a relevant science and/or engineering field.
  • Knowledge of current and next-generation advanced communications, sensing, and effector systems and platforms (preferred).
  • Platform-level system trade and integration experience (preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in analytical toolchains or languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, COMSOL, or Ansys (preferred).
  • Advanced communications experience such as secure LPx line-of-sight, beyond line-of-sight, or tactical data links (preferred).
  • Advanced sensing domain experience such as EO/IR, ESM, EA, EW, or LIDAR (preferred).
  • Experience with missile design and integration (preferred).
