Description

  • Build data transformations, pipelines, and analysis tooling in support of autonomous systems programs.
  • Work with large, complex datasets and established codebases to solve technical problems.
  • Translate data science findings into actionable recommendations with real-world impact.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support advanced defense and intelligence applications through data-driven analysis.
  • Apply data science methods to challenges in autonomous, robotic, and multi-domain systems.
  • Contribute to work involving distributed computing systems and complex system architectures.
  • Potentially mentor junior data scientists and lead complex data science initiatives.

Requirements

  • Background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related technical field with a strong quantitative foundation.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated expertise in Python for data transformations, pipelines, and analysis tooling.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments, including command line use and distributed computing systems.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Ability to quickly understand and work within established codebases and complex system architectures.
  • Strong ability to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with digital twin simulation, robotics, or multi-agent autonomous systems is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes is highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of data governance, ethics, privacy, and security/compliance requirements for sensitive or classified information is preferred.
  • Leadership experience, including mentoring junior data scientists and leading project teams, is preferred.
  • Experience with terabyte-scale data, robotics data formats such as MCAP or HDF5, and dataframes such as Pandas or PySpark is preferred.
