Description

  • Design and build streaming data pipelines to ingest real-time blockchain (on-chain transactions, staking rewards, validator info) and market data (prices, trades, order books).
  • Design and implement data contracts and validation gates to enforce quality and schema compliance at ingestion points.
  • Transform raw feeds into certified, trusted data products with clear SLAs and freshness SLOs.
  • Collaborate on architecture for standardized ingestion patterns to enable rapid onboarding of new blockchains and market data providers.
  • Establish redundancy, failover, and operational patterns to meet Tier 1 availability and freshness SLOs for critical data products.
  • Partner with Protocols, Trading, and Custody teams to understand requirements and deliver certified data products.
  • Work with the Data Platform team on orchestration, storage patterns (BigLake), and metadata management (Atlan).
  • Advocate for contract-governed data supply chains and contribute to engineering standards, observability, testing, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years building and operating streaming or high-throughput production data systems that handle large volumes with low latency and high reliability.
  • Proficiency in a backend language such as Go or Python and experience building services that interact with streaming infrastructure (Kafka, pub/sub, websockets, REST APIs).
  • Familiarity with blockchain concepts and comfort working with on-chain data (transactions, events, staking, validators) across multiple chains and data models.
  • Experience with data transformation patterns, schema evolution, and cloud data warehouses/storage (BigQuery, GCS, BigLake).
  • Operational experience deploying and operating services on cloud platforms (preferably GCP), including monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices.
  • Experience designing and enforcing data contracts, validation gates, and schema compliance at ingestion points.
  • Preferred: experience with staking data (staking rewards, validator data) and market data systems that ingest prices, trades, and order books.
  • Preferred: experience with infrastructure-as-code and modern DevOps tooling such as Terraform and Kubernetes, and a strong focus on data freshness SLOs.
