Description

  • Oversee the data governance program and identify opportunities to improve data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Develop and implement data quality standards, monitoring processes, metrics, and thresholds.
  • Manage the data issue lifecycle, including tracking issues and supporting remediation efforts.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for the Atlan data governance platform.
  • Support data classification efforts by identifying and categorizing sensitive data and critical data elements.
  • Manage external data requests and regulatory inquiries in compliance with banking regulations.
  • Monitor and report on data governance metrics and KPIs, and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead data governance meetings and workshops to drive decisions and program execution.
  • Collaborate with Data Platform, InfoSec, Product, and Engineering partners on cross-functional governance work.
  • Document data processes, controls, and findings clearly for internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or certifications in data analytics or governance preferred.
  • 4–7 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or data analytics.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or supporting data quality and governance practices.
  • Experience managing data classification, access controls, and external data requests.
  • Experience working with data pipelines, reporting systems, or analytical datasets.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data query and analysis tools.
  • Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Experience with database design, complex data schemas, and data extraction.
  • Working knowledge of data lineage, metadata management, and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience writing, editing, or reviewing technical documentation for regulatory or banking contexts.
