Description

  • Build shared Spring Boot services and libraries for authentication, asynchronous tasks, replication, and observability.
  • Define standards for service deployment, security, monitoring, and rollback processes.
  • Develop and maintain multi-region GCP infrastructure using GKE, global load balancing, autoscaling, Helm, and GitLab CI.
  • Improve edge and application security through gateway policies, API key and JWT issuance, dependency hygiene, and least-privilege IAM.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions on event sourcing, Pub/Sub topology, schema design, and service boundaries.
  • Design platform contracts usable by engineers and AI agents.
  • Write design documents, RFCs, and runbooks and share platform knowledge across teams.
  • Participate in design reviews and platform RFCs, linking platform improvements to product impact.

Requirements

  • Deep production experience with Java and Spring Boot, including transactional boundaries, connection pools, and JVM behavior under load.
  • Experience building shared platform libraries or Spring Boot starters used by multiple teams.
  • Strong cloud infrastructure and DevOps experience, preferably on GCP.
  • Production Kubernetes experience, including GKE, Helm, multi-region deployments, autoscaling, and rollbacks.
  • Daily experience with Terraform and strong PostgreSQL knowledge, including schema design, indexing, query plans, and migrations under load.
  • Experience with event sourcing, asynchronous messaging, and contract-first API design using OpenAPI.
  • Experience with GCP observability, incident response, and unit and integration testing.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, customer empathy, and business awareness.
  • GCP certification, gRPC/Envoy, internal developer platform, React/Next.js, or regulated B2B SaaS experience is preferred.
