Description

  • Provide expert technical advice to the CPTO on technology and product development strategies.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of the company’s roadmap.
  • Ensure architecture and design principles support scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive advancements, and regulatory changes to recommend adjustments and innovations.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their impact on Amwell’s products and services.
  • Conduct technical due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, and vendor selections.
  • Advise on technology-related risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop proofs of concept for new product and technology initiatives to accelerate innovation and decision making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, technology partners, and vendors to identify the right technical partnerships.
  • Represent Amwell in client and partner discussions and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive technical experience in product management, software engineering, technical leadership, and architecture roles.
  • Experience in both product/strategy and engineering/architecture roles is required.
  • Proven track record of influencing and advising at the executive level.
  • Strong strategic thinking across both business and technology.
  • Hands-on experience in product and/or engineering roles within the last five years.
  • Ability to build proofs of concept or deliver products directly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to represent the organization with executives, clients, and partners with maturity and poise.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree in technology or an MBA is preferred.
