Description

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the debt management journey.
  • Explain Debt Management Program details, including payment structures, creditor rules, and budgeting guidance.
  • Monitor client accounts and reach out proactively when issues arise.
  • Partner with Counseling, Creditor Relations, and Disbursements teams to resolve client problems.
  • Identify risks early and take steps to improve client retention.
  • Stay current on creditor guidelines and industry updates.
  • Encourage clients to use self-service tools and stay engaged with the program.
  • Re-engage clients who have fallen behind to help them finish successfully.
  • Share client feedback and suggestions to improve the client experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; some college in finance, communications, or a related field is a plus.
  • 1+ year of experience in customer service or financial services; debt management experience is preferred.
  • Ability to earn the PFE Certified Debt Management Professional credential within 6 months.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial topics in plain English.
  • Empathetic and approachable with the ability to build trust quickly.
  • Comfortable with numbers, computers, and learning new systems.
  • Natural problem-solver who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bonus consideration for experience in financial services, customer service, or call centers.
  • Must be able to speak clearly and professionally on the phone for extended periods.
  • Must have a quiet, private, distraction-free home workspace and be able to maintain regular attendance.
