Description

  • Provide timely immigration advice to current and prospective staff, managers, and visiting academics traveling to Mauritius.
  • Facilitate work permit and visa applications for staff members and guests.
  • Monitor visa expiries, immigration category changes, and right-to-work compliance deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of immigration documents, permits, letters, and employee movement tracking.
  • Develop and distribute invitation letters for visiting faculty, staff, and special guests.
  • Provide relocation support and practical guidance to staff and families moving to Mauritius and Rwanda.
  • Coordinate flights, accommodation, transportation, travel insurance, and other travel arrangements within policy guidelines.
  • Prepare and distribute travel itineraries and supporting documents such as visas and tickets.
  • Maintain travel bookings and itineraries in the Travel Tracker system and review travel expenses for accuracy.
  • Resolve travel issues, support disruptions or emergencies, and contribute to contingency planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in travel coordination or a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in travel booking software and Google Enterprise Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced university environment is a plus.
  • Location: Mauritius.
