Description

  • Review root cause analyses and provide technical support to suppliers and internal teams.
  • Provide onsite support to validate implementation of containments and corrective actions.
  • Assess new or late product design changes and provide remote support to certify implementation.
  • Ensure two-way communication of quality issues and share critical requirements with suppliers.
  • Review prototype and production part quality document submissions and provide feedback to suppliers.
  • Develop prototype Control Plans and PFMEAs, perform regular audits, and drive gap closures.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the supply base using quality and lean manufacturing tools.
  • Improve supplier quality processes, including supplier assessments, supplier management, part approval, and corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing in automotive, aviation, or medical device industries.
  • Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and creating or improving quality systems.
  • Proficiency with problem-solving techniques such as Six Sigma, 8D, Pareto charts, regression analysis, ANOVA, DOE, fishbone analysis, Red-X, and Is/Is Not.
  • Experience with quality analysis and control tools: process flow diagrams, Process FMEAs, control plans, SPC, MSA, and process capability.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as PCB/PCBA, wiring harnesses, electromechanical assemblies, and electrical components.
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Working knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9000 and IATF 16949; certifications such as ASQ or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are a plus.
  • Fully literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Preferred: experience with vehicle harness manufacturing, wire-harness diagrams, EDI, and IPC-620; pre-employment drug screening required as a condition of hire.
