Description

  • Design, plan, and optimize assembly systems using 2D/3D CAD, simulation tools, and automation technologies.
  • Develop and validate production layouts, material flows, and line performance using discrete event simulation and digital factory modeling.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing tools and MTM methods to assembly design and work instruction development.
  • Prepare statements of work and manage assembly system construction and deployment.
  • Drive operational excellence, standardization, and continuous improvement across multiple facilities.
  • Support industrial development activities for new project launches and coordinate work packages with the plant Industrial Program Manager.
  • Participate in HSE and ergonomic convergence activities in the plant.
  • Support installation and launch of production equipment and provide production support during ramp-up.
  • Ensure technical documentation is prepared and updated to meet product, quality, cost, and schedule targets.
  • Support implementation and integration of AMR/AGV systems and collaborate on Industry 4.0 process improvements.
  • Coordinate new plant projects from definition/specification through SOP and apply lessons learned.
  • Create, implement, and review regional processes and documentation including MTM, FMEA, and process flow materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Master’s degree in Lean Manufacturing or Simulation is preferred.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in Automotive environments, ideally Tier 1 or OEM.
  • Experience developing and implementing aerospace and automotive assembly processes.
  • Strong industrial engineering knowledge, including layout design, line balancing, and lean principles.
  • Experience with 2D/3D simulation tools such as AutoCAD or FlexSim and knowledge of discrete event simulation.
  • Knowledge of AMR/AGV systems and material flow automation.
  • Basic industrial automation/PLC knowledge, such as Siemens or Rockwell Automation.
  • Data analysis and problem-solving skills using Excel, Python, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of MES manufacturing systems for assembly, ERP systems such as SAP ERP, and processes/guidelines including APQP, ISO, IATF, FMEA, 5S, and PMS.
  • Experience with time studies and work measurement techniques such as Timer Pro, MTM-1, and MTM-UAS.
  • Experience with CAD and facility layout tools such as CATIA, Inventor, Factory Design Utilities, Vault, AutoCAD Architecture, and Autodesk Desktop Connector.
  • Understanding of automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Experience with supplier integration and module sourcing strategies.
