Description

  • Deliver training to clinical and non-clinical staff on SSI/SSDI access and behavioral health programs.
  • Develop and update training curricula and materials using adult learning principles.
  • Provide coaching and technical assistance to agencies improving disability benefit applications.
  • Collect feedback and outcome data to refine training programs.
  • Maintain expertise in SSI/SSDI, disability determination, and recovery-oriented behavioral health practices.
  • Track outcomes and identify quality improvement opportunities.
  • Build relationships with behavioral health providers and community organizations.
  • Serve as a resource for staff navigating disability benefit processes.
  • Incorporate input from people with lived experience into training content.
  • Contribute to statewide toolkits, guides, standardized practices, and trainer collaboration.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in behavioral health, recovery supports, or related social services.
  • Experience delivering training, coaching, or technical assistance using adult learning principles.
  • Working knowledge of SSI/SSDI and disability benefit processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including training-material development.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple training engagements.
  • Willingness to travel for in-person training.
  • Lived experience with disability benefits or behavioral health systems is valued and may substitute for some professional experience.
  • Experience living or working in Michigan is preferred.
  • Current eligibility to work in the United States; sponsorship is unavailable.
  • Ability to work within the continental U.S. during Eastern Time core hours and maintain a suitable remote workspace with reliable internet.
