Description

  • Own the iOS platform foundation, including app architecture, modular boundaries, and native engineering patterns.
  • Lead hands-on system design in Swift, SwiftUI, and modern Swift concurrency.
  • Shape how mobile work is designed, reviewed, tested, shipped, and operated.
  • Improve automation, observability, rollout practices, and AI-enabled validation for mobile releases.
  • Align with Android and backend teams on API behavior, failure modes, authentication, session flows, and performance expectations.
  • Mentor engineers across the mobile team and adjacent technical teams through guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Raise technical standards for system design, operational quality, and execution across teams.
  • Help define guardrails, validation practices, and engineering systems for AI-enabled mobile development.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in iOS platform architecture, modular design, performance, security, reliability, SwiftUI, and modern Swift concurrency in production systems.
  • Ability to reason across the full mobile system, including Android constraints, backend API behavior, authentication and session flows, release risks, and client/backend service contracts.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development workflows, AI harnesses, evaluation practices, or AI-driven testing systems to improve velocity, quality, and regression confidence.
  • Strong reliability and release-quality mindset, including experience with testing strategy, automation, observability, CI/CD, and production mobile quality practices.
  • Track record of leading significant technical initiatives, setting engineering standards, mentoring engineers, and raising the technical bar across teams.
  • Excellent product judgment and communication skills, including the ability to connect technical decisions to customer outcomes and align teams through RFCs, ADRs, technical plans, or decision records.
  • Experience with iPadOS, macOS, or multi-platform Apple product experiences (preferred).
  • Experience with enterprise mobile application development, MDM/MAM, or regulated customer environments (preferred).
  • Experience building or adopting design systems in production mobile applications (preferred).
  • Experience making targeted contributions to backend services or APIs using Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Node.js, or Python (preferred).
