Description

  • Own and evolve AlphaSense’s proprietary financial data taxonomy across sectors, accounting standards, statements, and reporting patterns.
  • Define how data generation rules apply across financial sectors and data types to support intuitive client discovery and use.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for financial data generation and presentation.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external documentation for data standards and conventions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, research, product, sales, and client-facing teams to align on data rules and dataset requirements.
  • Identify gaps and inconsistencies as new companies, metrics, and datasets are onboarded, and drive resolution with stakeholders.
  • Define use cases and requirements for new financial datasets beyond the three core financial statements.
  • Design financial data structures and taxonomy with AI and LLM compatibility in mind.
  • Build repeatable frameworks and processes to support scalable accuracy, relevance, and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related highly analytical field.
  • 5+ years of experience with data structures, taxonomy, or data governance.
  • At least 2 years of experience in product management or a closely adjacent cross-functional role.
  • Strong understanding of financial data and capital markets, including how investors and financial professionals consume data.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous data problems into structured, scalable solutions.
  • Hands-on experience using AI and LLM tools as an internal practitioner.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities independently.
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python.
  • Willingness to expand your technical toolkit as the role evolves.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of CAD $111,000–$145,000.
