Description

  • Manage a team of Directed Content Analysts organized into sector-aligned pods, including bilingual Mandarin speakers.
  • Set, track, and manage team KPIs that balance output quality, relevance, and volume.
  • Coach and support Analysts through goal setting, feedback, and professional development.
  • Partner with Project Managers and Sector Leads to refine research focus, sourcing strategies, and coverage territories.
  • Collaborate with Directed Content leadership and Directors of Research to update coverage goals and align pod capacity and focus.
  • Hire and onboard new Analysts.
  • Work with Directed Content Enablement to create and maintain process documentation and team knowledge resources.
  • Partner with Contributor Relations to ensure optimal client contributor coverage.
  • Troubleshoot team issues and implement process, systems, and workflow improvements for research pods.
  • Review and approve expert rates above a fixed threshold while keeping average expert costs below $300 per call.

Requirements

  • Deep experience as a people manager with a track record of motivating, coaching, supporting, and holding team members accountable.
  • Experience setting performance and professional development goals for individual contributors.
  • Ability to build team culture and infrastructure that helps employees perform at their best.
  • Strong interest in team, people, and process development in a fast-moving environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and measure KPIs for people and processes.
  • Experience building dashboards and analyses to identify productivity and output patterns.
  • Strong track record of building processes that improve scale and efficiency.
  • Ability to identify root causes of problems and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for aligning internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with bilingual teams or Mandarin speakers is preferred.
