Description

  • Own the end-to-end payroll process for a 2,000+ employee company operating in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with local tax, labor, and statutory regulations.
  • Lead year-end payroll processing, including W-2s, P60s, T4s, and other country-specific reporting requirements.
  • Partner with the HRIS team to maintain system integrity and data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, People, FP&A, and Legal to establish funding requirements, resolve issues, and provide payroll support.
  • Maintain SOX narratives related to payroll procedures and internal controls.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor a team of payroll specialists.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Mitigate payroll risks by evaluating processes and implementing best-in-class procedures.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with both US domestic and international payroll, preferably at a high-growth company.
  • Experience with Workday Payroll is required.
  • Strong expertise in state and local payroll taxes, benefits, 401(k), and other payroll administration areas.
  • Expert-level knowledge of payroll best practices and applicable wage and hour regulations.
  • Experience creating and running customized Workday reports for tax, compliance, and regulatory purposes.
  • Working knowledge of payroll accounting and general ledger activities.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply organizational procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Experience successfully leading system optimization initiatives and establishing payroll processes in new countries.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a high-demand environment.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of employee inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

Benefits

  • Base compensation of $150,000 to $225,000 USD.
  • Performance-based bonus eligibility.
  • Equity may be offered.
