Description

  • Enter financial transactions into the MYOB accounting system, including invoices, payments, expenses, and journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage accounts payable by recording supplier invoices, processing payments, and reconciling vendor accounts.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue payments, and manage collections as needed.
  • Process payroll transactions, including salary payments, deductions, statutory contributions, and related obligations.
  • Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and provide insights to management.
  • Assist with tax returns, BAS/GST statements, and other statutory filings in compliance with Australian tax laws.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations, adjusting entries, and financial analysis.
  • Maintain organized accounting records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping roles.
  • Proficiency with MYOB accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Australian tax regulations, BAS/GST requirements, and payroll processing.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
