Description

  • Lead commercial electrical construction projects from preconstruction and turnover through completion and final closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower plans, procurement timelines, and execution strategies.
  • Coordinate electricians, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and internal project teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, inspectors, general contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and scope requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, labor productivity, billing, and overall financial performance.
  • Prepare, price, negotiate, and track change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with BIM/VDC and prefabrication teams to resolve conflicts and support efficient field installation.
  • Partner with estimating and preconstruction teams to ensure accurate scope turnover and project planning.
  • Identify and mitigate labor, material, scheduling, and coordination risks before they affect delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial electrical construction project management experience.
  • Direct experience working for an electrical contractor or self-performing electrical construction company.
  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, field operations, sequencing, and installation requirements.
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, contracts, and construction documents.
  • Experience managing project budgets, labor productivity, forecasting, billing, and change orders.
  • Experience coordinating field teams, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple active projects while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial electrical experience is required; residential-only backgrounds will not be considered.
