Description

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and monitor production automations and user interfaces that reduce manual work and operation time.
  • Partner with frontend engineers to productize operations tooling for global teams.
  • Execute operational procedures to identify painful manual processes before automating them.
  • Instrument, track, and report outcome metrics such as MTTC, manual steps removed, queue sizes, and operations satisfaction.
  • Produce Platform Opportunity Briefs and RFCs for higher-level platform tooling and automations.
  • Collaborate with brokerage leadership, Compliance, and Security to build safe, auditable automations with role-based access and clear runbooks.
  • Own the full lifecycle of the systems you build, including CI/CD, monitoring, on-call support, and incident response.
  • Build systems with auditability, traceability, and data lineage as first-class concerns.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping and operating complex, large-scale production systems.
  • Strong business sense and understanding of operations.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Golang, including goroutines, channels, memory management, and the standard library.
  • Proven experience building user-facing features end-to-end with TypeScript/React.
  • Proficiency with SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to reason about human workflows as systems, not just software services.
  • Experience with observability, tracing, and continuous profiling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • High ownership mindset with a bias toward durable, structural fixes over tactical patches.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of service-oriented architectures, major cloud platforms (primarily GCP), financial markets, Docker, Kubernetes, Agile/Scrum, distributed systems, microservices, REST/gRPC, capacity planning, and benchmarking.
