Description

  • Serve as the product and technical subject matter expert for Alpaca’s platform across diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Act as a regional expert on regulations, compliance, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Success teams throughout the client lifecycle.
  • Present product and technical use cases to prospective clients and build confidence in Alpaca’s technical capabilities.
  • Translate complex business and technical requirements into clear, simple solutions.
  • Create sales support materials and documentation for new features and products.
  • Own technical sales engagements end-to-end, including discovery calls, solution validation, RFPs, and questionnaires.
  • Lead demo strategy and execution to help convert prospects into customers.
  • Work with the product team to test and roll out new features to partners.
  • Travel as needed to support sales activities and customer engagements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, Technical Product Management, or Partner Engineering in a client-facing role.
  • Experience working at API-first or SaaS-first companies.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience using APIs, WebSockets, Postman, Grafana, and JSON.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, understandable terms.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and drive work to completion with minimal guidance.
  • Must speak fluent English and either Spanish or Portuguese.
  • Comfort working in a startup environment and taking initiative to define new processes.
  • Experience working at a Broker-Dealer or FinTech company is preferred.
  • Experience closing enterprise deals alongside AEs is preferred.
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and/or Series 7 certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Metabase is preferred.
  • Experience using Coast demo software is preferred.
  • Experience with FIX eXchange protocol is preferred.
  • Experience with OpenAPI, ReadMe, and documentation tools is preferred.
