Description

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and monitor production automations and user interfaces that remove manual steps and reduce operation time.
  • Partner with frontend engineers to productize operations tooling for global teams.
  • Execute operational procedures to identify painful manual processes before automating them.
  • Instrument and report baseline and outcome metrics, then iterate based on measured impact.
  • Produce Platform Opportunity Briefs and RFCs for broader platform tooling and automations.
  • Collaborate with brokerage leadership, Compliance, and Security to build safe, auditable automations with role-based access and clear runbooks.
  • Own the full lifecycle of the systems you build, including CI/CD deployment, proactive monitoring, on-call support, and incident response.
  • Build systems with auditability, traceability, and data lineage as first-class concerns.
  • Work closely with licensed brokerage staff, domain experts, and platform engineers to create tooling that scales operations without linear headcount growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping and operating complex, large-scale production systems.
  • Strong business sense and understanding of operations.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Golang, including concurrency models, memory management, and the standard library.
  • Proven track record of building user-facing features end to end with Typescript/React.
  • Proficiency with SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to reason about human workflows as systems, not just software services.
  • Experience with observability, tracing, and continuous profiling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • High ownership mindset with a bias toward durable, structural fixes over tactical patches.
  • Preferred: knowledge of service-oriented architectures, major cloud platforms such as GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, financial markets and brokerage operations, Agile/Scrum, distributed systems, microservices, REST/gRPC, capacity planning, and benchmarking.
