Description

  • Develop and execute comprehensive Asset Protection programs across assigned districts.
  • Analyze shrink, POS, inventory, RFID, CCTV, and case-management data to identify loss trends and create measurable reduction plans.
  • Conduct internal and external theft, fraud, integrity, cash-loss, and organized retail crime investigations.
  • Manage physical-security systems, vulnerability assessments, third-party security providers, and security readiness for new sanctuary openings.
  • Respond to security, safety, workplace-violence, weather, civil-unrest, and other crisis incidents.
  • Partner with Retail Operations, People & Culture, Legal, law enforcement, and security providers on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Use AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, anomaly detection, investigations, reporting, and process automation while ensuring responsible use.
  • Prepare periodic Asset Protection reports and communicate initiatives, trends, and recommendations to field leadership.
  • Train and coach store teams on theft prevention, operational controls, fraud prevention, safety, security, and incident reporting.
  • Build relationships with district and store leaders and represent ALO with law enforcement, government agencies, and industry partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable education and experience in Asset Protection, loss prevention, investigations, law enforcement, security, risk management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of multi-unit, field-based Asset Protection or loss-prevention experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience supporting multiple locations.
  • Experience conducting internal and external theft, fraud, and integrity investigations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into loss-reduction and risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Proficiency with Asset Protection applications, CCTV, POS reporting, RFID, case-management tools, Shopify, and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Experience using AI-enabled technology for analysis, investigations, productivity, and decision-making, with the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated information.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interviewing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, handle sensitive situations discreetly, and build relationships across organizational levels.
  • Familiarity with Canadian privacy, surveillance, security, employment, and workplace-safety requirements preferred.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and maintain high accessibility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the Midwest and Canada, including overnight and weekend travel, up to approximately 80% of the time.
