Description

  • Develop a strong understanding of the assigned territory, retailers, and competitors to drive sales and returns to good causes.
  • Support the Annual Business Plan by delivering key messages and marketing updates to the retail network.
  • Support Retail Sales Team objectives and review performance against agreed measures, including cross-territory and divisional work where required.
  • Own territory management plans and prepare and carry out store visits within the assigned area.
  • Drive high in-store standards and deliver key messages to retailers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers to improve in-store execution and advocacy for The National Lottery.
  • Agree retailer commitment to player protection requirements through the Retail Training Centre (RTC).
  • Deliver effective training to retailers and stakeholders at different levels.
  • Drive personal development through the Personal Development Plan and Learning and Development programme.

Requirements

  • Previous sales experience or customer service experience; field-based experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong sales and commercial acumen.
  • Confidence and clarity when speaking to retailers, with a consultative approach to relationship building.
  • Experience in face-to-face consultative selling.
  • Ability to use IT packages flexibly.
  • Ability to analyse data and provide insight to customers.
  • Ability to deliver effective training to people at all levels.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility to travel across the assigned territory and wider regions when required.
  • New ideas and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset are valued.
