Description

  • Build computer vision systems for detection and activity recognition in real clinical environments.
  • Develop and own the proprietary data pipeline, from collection through continuous improvement.
  • Establish the clinical annotation operation and quality standards for labeled data.
  • Architect cloud, edge, and on-premise deployment approaches for enterprise healthcare environments.
  • Own the technical architecture and define component boundaries for future engineering expansion.
  • Build the initial product using hands-on development, AI agents, and targeted contractors.
  • Recruit and evaluate future engineering team members as the company grows.
  • Represent the company in technical discussions with clinical teams, hospital IT leaders, investors, and prospective customers.
  • Deliver a working pilot and viable product during the first year.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant technical experience with demonstrated people-management responsibility.
  • Hands-on computer vision development experience, including personally writing model code.
  • Experience with fixed-camera video, multi-person tracking, occlusion handling, activity recognition, and human pose estimation.
  • Experience shipping a production product from zero with a small team and real customers.
  • Experience deploying inference at the edge or on premises where data residency is restricted.
  • Experience adapting and fine-tuning existing models rather than relying primarily on training from scratch.
  • Startup or early-stage experience operating effectively amid ambiguity and limited resources.
  • Experience with body-worn cameras, workplace safety, retail, surgical video, or other uncontrolled real-world video applications preferred.
  • Experience with operational-scale computer vision deployments, video privacy, data retention, or chain-of-custody requirements preferred.
  • Healthcare technology experience, HIPAA compliance, hospital IT procurement, clinical workflow integration, or a prior founding exit preferred.
